Abstract
The results of a recent noise survey by the author show the existence of a well defined distribution function for the noise level fluctuations inside air conditioned landscaped offices in Hong Kong. In the present study, further noise measurements are carried out inside canteens where the equivalent sound pressure level can be as high as 82 dBA and with a higher degree of intermittency. The previous determined distribution function is also found to be applicable in these acoustical environments.
