Abstract

Previous commentators have voiced “physical” and “mathematical” objections to Handel's theories of quantum 1 f noise. Some of the physical objections are refuted; the mathematical objections are shown to stand. In addition, we outline what, in our opinion, a proper approach based on quantum electrodynamics would be. The experimental situation is discussed.
