Abstract

The matter under consideration is Stanislaw Ignacy Witkiewicz’s philosophy of art. The author presents basic functions of a work of art and analyzes their connections with the categories of realism and Pure Form. In addition, the author considers the relations between the functions of art and Witkiewicz’s philosophy of history.
