Abstract
ALTHOUGH fungal infections of the floral heads have often been observed in a number of plants, the nature of such infections on the pollen grains has usually escaped attention. The examination of the fungal relations of pollen grains is a new field of research, and may be deemed to be of importance in considerations of pollen viability and the dissemination of parasitic fungi.
