Abstract
In this chapter, the mechanics of rolling, the rolling theory, the flow stress for rolling theory, the coefficient of friction for rolling theory, and the simulation test for the coefficient of friction are explained. Concerning the rolling theory, the two-dimensional homogeneous theory and the two-dimensional inhomogeneous theory are explained. Concerning the flow stress, the equations of the low carbon steel and the stainless steel in cold sheet rolling and the equations of low carbon steel in hot sheet rolling are introduced. Concerning the coefficient of friction, the calculating method of the coefficient of friction in cold sheet rolling are explained and the measuring methods of the coefficient of friction for cold sheet rolling using the simulation test are discussed.
