Abstract
ABSTRACT Liquid crystal devices have been in practical use for more than half a century and are now widely used as low-voltage, low-power-consumption displays and optical elements. We have confirmed the partial NOT logic operation of some optical interference peaks in two-slit Young’s interference experiments using a liquid crystal device with a self-aligned structure. In this report, we report that we were able to obtain a fully NOT logic operation of the entire optical interference pattern by investigating the liquid crystal alignment of antiparallel direction.
