Abstract

Abstract Transient absorption measurements of photoexcited organic molecules were made with picosecond and nanosecond laser pulses. Detection of the spectroscopic light pulses is carried out with an optical multichannel analyzer (OMA) system. The dynamic range of the vidicon was increased by modifying the readout of the OMA system using a personal computer. The whole arrangement can be controlled for completely automatic measurements and evaluation and processing of the data.
