Abstract

Thermodynamic hydricity of transition-metal hydrides is a key parameter to guide in framing new catalyst design concepts for several hydride transfer catalysis including energy-relevant processes such as H+ and CO2 reduction to H2 and formate, respectively. Important aspects of this emerging research direction are summarized in the Minireview by J. Choudhury et al. on page 5842.
