Abstract
The front cover image, provided by Stephen Hashmi and co-workers, illustrates the results of their work on the synthesis and catalytic activity of saturated and unsaturated NHC as well as NHOC gold(I) complexes. The catalytic activity is strongly influenced by the type of ligand and by side-chain ring size. For the furane-yne cyclization the saturated NHC bearing a 15-membered ring as a side-chain is the match winner, as indicated by the position on the winners’ rostrum.
