Abstract
The Front Cover shows an artist's impression of the self-assembly of spin-crossover complexes modified with alkyl tails. These iron-containing molecules can switch between a non-magnetic, low-spin state, and a paramagnetic, high-spin state. Randomly oriented in the bulk, they formed highly ordered monolayers by self-assembly when they were deposited on a highly ordered pyrolytic graphene surface. Such highly ordered assemblies of magnetically switchable molecules represent an important step towards making molecular switching devices and sensors. More information can be found in the Full Paper by S. Bonnet and co-workers.
