Abstract

The Front Cover shows a supported Fe5C2 catalyst, which was designed and prepared with mesoporous carbon as the carrier. The oxygen-containing functional groups (especially COOH group) on the surface of the carbon inhibit the formation of iron carbides. However, the mesoporous carbon exhibits a positive effect on the dispersion of iron species. In their Research Article, Y. Zhao and co-workers suggest a practical strategy in fabricating a supported iron carbides catalyst for the chemosynthesis of ethanol via DMO hydrogenation from syngas. More information can be found in the Research Article by M. Cao, H. Huang et al..
