Abstract
Selenium is named after Selene, the goddess of the moon in Greek mythology. In Japanese folklore, it has been said that rabbits live on the moon since ancient times. The cover picture shows two rabbits running up to the moon with a catalyst, i. e. the reactions of 2-substituted benzo[b]furans with diaryl diselenides in the presence of copper catalyst afforded the corresponding 2-substituted 3-selanylbenzo[b]furans in satisfactory yields. The reaction proceeds efficiently and both of the two selanyl groups of the diselenide are transferred to the products. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Shuji Yasuike et al.
