Abstract

Mid- and near-IR spectroscopy proved to be a suitable tool in a survey of two critical parameters in production and quality control of alkaline bagasse lignin solutions, i.e. lignin concentration and solution pH. The use of both spectroscopic techniques provided stable multivariate methods with comparable accuracy. Slightly higher precision was achieved with near-IR spectroscopy.
