Abstract

The problem of resonance frequency tracking fuzzy control for Giant Magnetostrictive Transducer (GMT) system was studied theoretically and experimentally. This paper firstly gave the mathematical nonlinear dynamic model for GMT, which was used in choosing the type of controller. Then, based on the fuzzy control, self-optimizing control and the nonlinear dynamic model of GMT system, a fuzzy self-optimizing control strategy for GMT system was proposed in achieving frequency tracking control. Experimental results show that the strategy of frequency tracking has the advantages of fast tracking speed, high reliability and stability. This control strategy offers a novel and simple approach for GMT vibration system.
