Abstract

Abstruct-The classical flexural bar equation is applied to provide theoretical evidence to show the quality of the frequency-temperature characteristics of the established NT-cut when boundary conditions are free-free. It is also applied in the theoretical prediction of the existence of the new quartz crystal flexure bars with the outstanding frequencytemperature characteristics. Then an overall analysis of the frequencytemperature characteristics of quartz crystal tuning forks based on the free-clamped bars is described and the calculated results are compared with those obtained in experiments with the crystal tuning forks.
