Abstract
In pediatrics (28:838, 1961) Dr. Samuel Wishik has commented on the findings of recent studies of health supervision of young children in California. This survey showed that "well care services . . . are reaching children but apparently are unable to hold them," in spite of the evidence that "ninety-one percent of the children under six years of age manifested behavior that caused concern to the mothers." He concluded that the report would help pediatricians "take stock of the effectiveness of their work and . . . their changing role in the protection of the health of children."
