Abstract
Standard limb electrocardiograms of the adult rat (4–5 months old) were studied using cathode-ray oscillographic techniques. Fourier analysis revealed that the main QRS components can be represented with sine-wave frequencies of 50–400 cycles/sec. Gross distortion was observed with filters providing a high-frequency response of less than 250 cycles/sec. The mean QRS axis was found to be quite sensitive to positional changes.
