Abstract

Drip congelation is an effective method of desalination of salt water. The results of mathematical modelling of freezing of fresh and salt water droplets in conditions of free fall at negative air temperatures are presented. Different options of salt rejection from the frost boundary and mineralization growth in the unfrozen part of the drop are considered.
