Abstract

Extremely low-loss (< 0.03 dB/cm) polymeric waveguide films have been used to study the bending, curve and 45°-mirror losses and the crosstalk with a view to practical use in multimode optical interconnects. Waveguide-to-fiber connections are also demonstrated.
