Abstract
Exact solutions of eigenfrequencies and vibration modes of rectangular cantilever thin plates are derived by using the double finite integral transform method. Since only the basic elasticity equations of the plates are used, the analytical method utilized in this paper eliminates the need to predetermine the deformation function arbitrarily and is hence more reasonable than conventional semi-inverse methods. Numerical results presented in the paper demonstrate the validity of the approach.
