Abstract

This work intends to share a sense of free speech regulation in India. It is divided into three parts: Part I considers the underlying socio-legal basis of the free speech laws and norms in India, Part II explores what free speech regulation comprises from the points of view of social norm, positive law, and normative law, and, finally, Part III looks at how free speech restrictions are actually implemented in the country.
