Abstract
AbstractKinetic analysis of AIBN initiated polymerization of vinyl acetate in presence of 2‐furoic acid has been carried out to check DEB's criterion. It is found that primary radical transfer to 2‐furoic acid is quite appreciable in this system and has to be allowed for to arrive at accurate values of transfer constants. Values of transfer constants for both primary radicals and macroradicals towards 2‐furoic acid are discussed and evaluated by applying DEB's treatment.
