Abstract

In order to study a foreign language, it is not sufficient to master the grammatical system of a given language and master communication skills, but it is also necessary to approach that language from a cultural aspect. By getting acquainted with the culture of a nation whose language is being studied, a person has a much better idea of the overall notion of the state, as well as the language being studied. Each country has its own culture that exists and is acquired over the years, and the language of that country permeates a given culture. That is why language and culture are two inseparable components. What is characteristic for the language of a certain country are their proverbs, sayings, counters, which originated from how the culture of that country began to develop. That is why there is a science that deals with such established expressions in a language, that is phraseology. It is common knowledge that these phraseologies are not translated literally from one language to another. Therefore, it is important to show such an approach in learning a foreign language, especially in primary schools. In this paper, the Russian language is presented through the prism of the phraseological aspect in primary school textbooks in the form of proverbs, sayings, counters, riddles. Teachers are not limited to the use of phraseology from the mentioned textbooks, but it is also desirable to use additional teaching materials in order to better convey the cultural state of the Russian language.
