Recepción: 5 de abril de 2016.Aceptación: 2 de diciembre de 2016.En este artículo se hace un estudio de la traducción y el Comentario del Cantar de los Cantares realizados por fray Luis de León en idioma castellano. Nos interesa ofrecer ángulos sobre el paradigma místico-erótico que sirve de referencia a esta obra, tanto en su vertiente judeocristiana como clásica grecolatina, por lo que se contrastan entre sí. Asimismo, se tendrá en cuenta lo relativo a la interpretación y la historia de la recepción del texto bíblico con base en la hermenéutica de Paul Ricoeur.
