Abstract
The Fraunhofer Gesellschaft (FhG) is a non-profit organization for applied research in the field of natural and engineering sciences. In the industrial engineering field, the Fraunhofer concept combines the technical resources from itself, universities and industry to develop current and future products and/or processes for industrial use. Fraunhofer bridges the gap between problem-solving and basic research at the university level through process and application development to a completed manufactured product or process at industrial level.
