Abstract

French Guiana is a French overseas territory in South America with the same healthcare organization, but fewer effective medical resources as mainland France. French Guiana's Gross Domestic Product is 50% lower than mainland France, over half of the population is below the poverty threshold, and 30% of its population consists of immigrants.
