This two-volume single-author work was written by an internationally known expert in the closed management of fractures. In his introduction, Connolly appropriately acknowledges Sarmiento's major contributions to the field as well as Clawson's influence on his career. The book is divided into a large section on “Principles,” followed by a chapter entitled “Pediatric/Epiphyseal Plate Injury” and then by chapters on regional anatomy.
