Abstract
The IFHTSE Executive Committee congratulates the IFHTSE member association, the Egyptian Heat Treatment Society, on launching the Mediterranean Conference on Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering. The fi rst in the series, held at the Pyramisa Hotel in Sharm El-Sheik, Egypt on 1–3 December 2009, included in addition to the main conference sessions, a Workshop in the Global 21 series, and the 38th Annual Assembly of IFHTSE’s Governing Council.
