Abstract

A new approach is outlined for attacking the analysis of ESR spectra showing poorly resolved hyperfine structure due to several nuclear species. The theoretical synthesis of the Fourier transform of the expected spectrum for a specific model is simpler to perform than the synthesis of the spectrum itself. Hence useful information and clues to the nature of a correct model may be obtained by considering the transform of the spectrum as well as the direct spectrum. The method is developed and an example of such a synthesis is discussed.
