Abstract

It is shown experimentally for the first time that the Raman-induced Kerr effect spectroscopy can be used in a remote measurement system when the probe wave is formed in the medium under study as a result of Rayleigh and Mie scattering of one of the pump waves. The panoramic spectrum of a strong Raman band of ethanol was obtained in the 3000–2800 cm−1 range.
