Abstract

Four new species of eriophyid (Acari: Prostigmata) are described from Trema micrantha (L.) Blum., Ulmaceae, in Brazil, viz: Acalitus tanysetus n. sp., Tegolophus apheles n. sp., Shevtchenkella gnatholoba n. sp. and Vimola (?) paucisetosa n. sp. Hypostomal or infracapitular lobes are described from S. gnatholoba as well as a minutive solenidion-like structure on the dorsum of tibia I which is probably homologous with solenidion phi (ø) of other Prostigmata.
