Abstract
ABSTRACT A new species, Rhabdocarpais trispinosus Yao & Jin sp. nov. is described based on adults and deutonymphs from Yunan province, China. Four species, Parasitus brachychaetus Ma, P. clavasetosus Ma, P. simplendogynii Ma & Bai and P. wangdunqingi Ma, are transferred from the genus Parasitus to Rhabdocarpais based on the seta st1 of female forked distally, spurs on genu and tibia of leg II bilobed, the venter of the hypostome elevated forward and forming a protuberance in the male, and seta po stout and pilose distally.
