Abstract
Throughout their academic careers, students are challenged to connect classroom and textbook knowledge to application in their chosen fields. Many times, that firsthand experience does not occur until after graduation and with a first job. For some students, having a bridge between academia and industry helps reassure them of their chosen professional careers. Thanks to SEG Foundation corporate and individual donors, SEG can provide geoscience students around the world with the opportunity to construct this bridge between classroom and industry through the SEG Field Camp Grants program.
