Abstract

Today, solar power plants based on photovoltaic panels have reached significant percentages for energy production. Therefore, in this study, panel interconnections, which significantly affect the efficiency of photovoltaic panels, are examined. A single type of connection is applied in the panels currently used. The connection applied in the panels is in the form of serial connection between cells. The fact that all the connections between the cells in the panel are serial also brings some negative situations. In this study, a solar panel is designed and manufactured, each cell independent of the others. The fact that each cell is independent from each other is an option to be used to make the connection between cells in different ways. Different serial and parallel cell connections are created with the cells on the panel. Measurements were made with the flash test from these connections. When the values obtained from the
 measurements were compared, an increase of up to 10% was obtained.
