Abstract

The possibility to use the pp annihilation channel as a means to distinguish high-energy hadron production models is pointed out, and the application of a multiperipheral model to pp annihilation is discussed. Certain subtraction rules are proposed in order to avoid the necessity of separating the annihilation and non-annihilation events at high energy pp collisions.
