Abstract

The article deals with the problems of forming the ideal of sustainable development as the progress of modern society. It is noted that most of the post-Soviet states have failed to advance their societies to more worthy levels of the economy, to take positions dictated by the modern information era, and to provide the population with new high living standards. The implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in Belarus is analyzed, the Agenda for Sustainable Development for the period up to 2030 is presented, which is based on the key documents adopted in the country: the National Strategy for Sustainable Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus for the period up to 2030 and the Program of Social and Economic Development of the Republic of Belarus for 2016–2020. The Concept of the National Strategy was developed and adopted at the First National Forum on Sustainable Development (Minsk, January 24, 2019) and formulates specific measures to implement the Agenda for Sustainable Development in the Republic of Belarus for the period up to 2030.
