Abstract
FORMS OF CONTRADICTION AND RATIONALITY IN AN ECONOMIC SYSTEM. NOTES ON SLAVERY IN ANTIQUITY. The precapitalist modes of production are not unaware of economic rationality; however they elude the categories of capitalist economy. To look for such rationality means to acknowledge their specificity, to give back its singularity to everyone, to break off with an ethnocentric approach shared for too long.
