Abstract

With the acceleration of the urbanization process, the degree of “hardening” of the urban surface becomes higher, and the storage capacity is weakened seriously, so it is easy to cause urban waterlogging. Doing a good job in urban flood control and waterlogging control and reducing disaster losses has become the top priority of disaster prevention and mitigation in our country in the 21st century. This study takes the Chebeichong watershed in Guangzhou as the research area, and based on quantitative observation data, summarizes the formation mechanism of urban waterlogging in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA), and proposes the key driving factors for the formation of urban waterlogging in the GBA. It will provide theoretical and technical support for the study of effective urban waterlogging forecasting methods.
