Abstract
Treatment of a THF solution of trans-[FeHCl(dppe) 2] (dppe = Ph 2PCH 2CH 2PPH 2) with HC CCOOMe or CS 2, in the presence of Tl[BF 4], forms the vinyl complex cis-Fe(CH CHCOOMe)(dppe) 2][BF 4] or theη 2-dithioformate compoundcis-[Fe(η 2-S 2CH)(dppe) 2][BF 4] respectively. The molecular structure of the former is authenticated by X-ray diffraction analysis.
