Abstract

The practice of global digital platforms (GDPs) is evolving under the influence of the general processes of a digitalized global economy and the economy of sharing. The specificity of GDPs, and their mobility in terms of data handling, make it possible to minimize the costs of platforms and circumvent domestic legislation. In the modern world, GDPs and their ecosystems represent a new model of organizing economic (including cross-border) activities, which transforms international exchange and contributes to the sustainable development of the global community, including in the social sphere. In turn, GDPs contribute to the fact that business entities develop fundamentally new goods and services for the global market. In fact, the phenomenon of GDPs is new in the modern international business, so it is important to identify the competitive advantages of the global digital platforms and the parameters of their impact on international economic relations. The purpose of our research was to analyze the new competitive advantages of global digital platforms, affecting the mechanisms of their transnationalization. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying the unique, specific competitive advantages of GDPs, determining their dominance and market power in the modern architecture of international business.
