Abstract

Problem statement. Modern social, political, economic, cultural transformations in Ukraine increase the role of information processes. This ensures the growth of information, requires the training of professional, competitive specialists who can process information. Such professionals are specialists in information, library and archival affairs. Communicative competence is an indicator of the quality of education of these professionals. Lack of communicative competence complicates professional activity, reduces the quality of activity. An important condition for the professional training of future specialists in information, library and archival affairs is the use of interactive methods (didactic games) during classes. The method of the game ensures the quality of formation of communicative competence of future specialists in information, library and archival affairs as an integral part of their professionalism. The research is relevant because the interactive didactic game can increase the motivation of students to learn, comprehensively contributes to solving the issue of improving the quality of their training, further competitiveness at the modern labor market.
 The methodology of this study are methods of analysis (study of documentary information — educational program, curricula, educational and methodological complexes of disciplines; questionnaires), control questions (student questionnaires), selection (research of the problem in terms of individual disciplines), systematization (questionnaires in a particular system, which allows their explanation from the standpoint of a systematic approach), comparison, which allowed to identify certain features in the results of the study.
 The result of this study is to clarify the importance of using the interactive method of didactic games in the training of future professionals in information, library and archives and provide teachers with practical recommendations for their implementation.
 The scientific novelty of the study is that for the first time the use of the method of interactive play in the lessons of professional training of future specialists in information, library and archival affairs has been studied and described. The percentage of increase in the level of communicative competence (as a component of professional competence) after the application of the method of didactic game is calculated. Specific recommendations were given to teachers on conducting these didactic games during classes, the results were summarized and brought into a single system.
 The practical significance of the article is that its results can be used in further research on the selected topic. At the same time, the scientific results of this study can serve as material in the process of improving the educational and professional program of the specialty.
