Abstract

The article examines the problem of forming the speech competence of students during the study of the discipline «Ukrainian language according to (professional) direction»; the problem of the relationship between the language and the speech culture of future primary school teachers and educators of secondary schools is analyzed. The relevance of the study of the speech culture of specialists in this field is substantiated, because a specialist with a high level of intelligence is the highest value of every country, as it acts as a driving force in its creation and development. Today is characterized by the specifics of language use and, accordingly, certain conditions of its functioning. Therefore, there is a need to study language as a means of communication in the process of professional training, its use in various professional and industrial situations; speech culture in the educational sphere; at work and everyday life. The education of a linguistic personality and the implementation of the above-mentioned tasks are carried out during the study of the disciplines of the linguistic cycle, namely: «Ukrainian language (for professional direction)», «Theoretical basics of the elementary course of the Ukrainian language», «Basics of culture and speech technique of younger schoolchildren». According to its content and orientation, language culture is always objective, that is, it affects people in one way or another. From a spiritual point of view, it can be considered the result of human activity, personality development through literary works, art, etc. The level of speech culture of a person depends on his familiarity with national art, with the cultural history of his people. While receiving higher education, students should raise their intellectual and general cultural level, demonstrating the qualities of a social personality. The ability to implement one’s communicative and speech competence in various situations of professional communication is one of the most important qualities of an educated person. The language culture of a specialist is formed through the richness of the dictionary, perfect mastery of ways of combining words into sentences, the ability to distinguish between neutral and stylistically marked language units, avoidance of stylistic and expressive dissonance, characterized by phonetic and intonational expressiveness. The article outlines the principles on which the concept of language culture is based, analyzes vocabulary, and draws conclusions.
