Abstract

The article reveals the peculiarities of teaching the Ukrainian language to foreign students. Considerable attention is paid to the formation of communicative activity through the use of active forms of work in the student foreign language audience. The authors consider the use of the communicative method as leading in the formation of communicative activity in Ukrainian language classes as a foreign language. Examples of effective forms of work in classes with foreign students while studying the Ukrainian language are given. Ways of formation and development of communicative skills of foreign students on the basis of work with texts are offered. Emphasis is placed on the types of work that involve bothcommunicative and situational tasks, and aims to develop communicative knowledge and skills in the use of different types of learningcommunicative situations. The authors give vivid examples of practical application of different types of work. Creative exercises for thedevelopment of productive monologue and dialogic speech are offered. Particular attention is paid to the use of game situations withthe use of dialogic speech on the examples of studying the topics “Services”, “Acquaintance”, “City”.
