Abstract
Bifunctional coatings with high wear and corrosion resistances are produced by nonvacuum electron-beam surfacing of powder mixtures of chromium carbide with chromium and titanium carbide. It is shown that the enhancement in the coating wear resistance is connected with a sharp structure refinement owing to appearance of many crystallization centers in the form of TiC disperse precipitations.
