Abstract

The article proposes a reflection on the outreach actions involving students of the Journalism undergraduate course at the State University of Ponta Grossa (UEPG) in the Journalism, Human Rights and Citizen Education outreach project, from a mapping of the contents posted on the Elos webpage – Journalism, Human Rights, and Citizen Education, from November 20, 2017 to December 10, 2018. The project concerns the development of the humanistic education of all students, respecting the genesis of journalism and raising awareness to the journalists’ social commitment. It also seeks to attend the tripod of academic education, working with outreach, research and teaching in an articulated manner. The conceptual discussion addresses the guidelines of outreach, journalistic training and human rights. The results point to the challenges faced to consolidate outreach in the students’ education focusing on human rights in a scenario of transformations of journalism.
