Abstract

A feature of the static and dynamic deformation processes for structures on an elastic unilateral foundation is the possibility of separation of the structure from the foundation. Upon the loading of such systems by a static load, the contact zones between the structure and the 9 change. In cases of dynamic load action not only the contact zones change but also the time intervals in which the contact occurs. Taking account of these features in a theoretical investigation of these processes involves significant difficulties due to the variable structure of the constitutive differential equations describing the behavior of the systems under consideration.
