Abstract
For a class of linear systems, the paper studies the reliable tracking controller design problem against actuator faults. A sufficient condition for the existence of a reliable tracking controller is given. Then a reliable tracking controller design method is developed. This method is based on linear guaranteed cost tracking performance index and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The simulation illustrates the design procedures and their effectiveness. The comparisons of the reliable tracking controller and the normal tracking controller show the necessity of reliable tracking control.
