Abstract

The study of modern scientific approaches to understanding the essence of food security has shown that food security is a leading component of national security and is directly related to the general trends in economic development, such industries as agriculture, food industry. Food security is focused on meeting the basic needs of a person and society, maintaining a high level of public health. Food security is determined by the efficiency of the economy as a whole. Depending on what problems arise from globalization, the state focuses on various economic activities related to the production and processing of agricultural products, as well as the production of high-quality food. Food security arises from other pressing social problems, primarily affecting environmental pollution, the provision of the population with drinking water. This creates the basis for the priority development of agro-industrial complexes with the support of the state, since these complexes are the guarantor of social stability and security in society, as well as political and economic independence.
