Abstract
Abstract This article explores the intersections between concepts of racism presented in the context of Morris-a purportedly "English" dance practice that has limited circulation, and that remains primarily white-and in the context of the Morris Dance Discussion Group-an e-mail listserv group. I use these as reference points for a critique of some concepts common in the practices of academic folklore scholarship and offer suggestions for more progressive, politically astute directions for folklore and methodology.
