Abstract
We investigate the interference of Fock state photons in terms of the quantum trajectory theory. We performed a fast simulation of the experiment with a million photons initially prepared. We show that the physics of the phenomenon is transparently understood through an analytic approach within the quantum trajectory formalism without actually going into the numerical study. We find that the visibility of the interference pattern is essentially given by ${\mathrm{V}}_{\mathrm{k}}$=k/(k+1) at the kth photodetection. We review the phenomenon in connection with the historical discussions about interference between independent light sources.
